We made it into Vermont in record time, ready to offer support and our giggly bundle of joy, Caley. She was about 14 months old at the time and had just started to walk - on Mother's Day of that same year. She navigated pretty well for herself on Grandpa Coyne's hardwood floors - without too much trouble! It was so nice to see Eamon's Vermont family - cousins, aunts, uncles, and of course, Grandpa Coyne! We reacquainted with old friends, and made some new, very dear friends. We had such a grand time with family and friends - that it was very hard to leave. Thank you so much Grandpa Coyne and Uncle Fran for making it possible for us to be with the family at this time! When it was time to leave, we did so with heavy hearts, but also with the promise of seeing everyone soon!
Unfortunately, the trip back home was not a smooth one. We were rear-ended in Indiana - at a toll booth, no less! Thankfully it was a minor fender bender, and we were on our way again. Only to be stopped for speeding in Wisconsin. Oop! We made it home, tired, bumped and ticketed - but at least, safely!

P.S. Stay away from Chicago at rush hour, and during construction.
